NUMBERS 32 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the AMORITES, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. DEUTERONOMY 1 4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the AMORITES, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei: 7 Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the AMORITES, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. 19 And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the AMORITES, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea. 20 And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the AMORITES, which the LORD our God doth give unto us. 27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the AMORITES, to destroy us. 44 And the AMORITES, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. DEUTERONOMY 3 2 And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the AMORITES, which dwelt at Heshbon. 8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the AMORITES the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; 9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the AMORITES call it Shenir;) DEUTERONOMY 4 46 On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the AMORITES, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt: 47 And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the AMORITES, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; DEUTERONOMY 7 1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the AMORITES, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 20 17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the AMORITES, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee: DEUTERONOMY 31 4 And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the AMORITES, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed. JOSHUA 2 10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the AMORITES, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. JOSHUA 3 10 And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the AMORITES, and the Jebusites. JOSHUA 5 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the AMORITES, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel. JOSHUA 7 7 And Joshua said, Alas, O LORD God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the AMORITES, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! JOSHUA 9 10 And all that he did to the two kings of the AMORITES, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth. JOSHUA 10 5 Therefore the five kings of the AMORITES, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it. 6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the AMORITES that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us. 12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the AMORITES before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. JOSHUA 12 2 Sihon king of the AMORITES, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; 8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the AMORITES, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: JOSHUA 13 4 From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the AMORITES: 10 And all the cities of Sihon king of the AMORITES, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon; 21 And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the AMORITES, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country. JOSHUA 24 8 And I brought you into the land of the AMORITES, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you. 11 And you went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the AMORITES, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand. 12 And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of the AMORITES; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the AMORITES, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. 18 And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the AMORITES which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God. JUDGES 1 34 And the AMORITES forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the valley: 35 But the AMORITES would dwell in mount Heres in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became tributaries. 36 And the coast of the AMORITES was from the going up to Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward. JUDGES 3 5 And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and AMORITES, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites: JUDGES 6 10 And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the AMORITES, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 10 8 And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the AMORITES, which is in Gilead. 11 And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the AMORITES, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines? JUDGES 11 19 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the AMORITES, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into my place. 21 And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the AMORITES, the inhabitants of that country. 22 And they possessed all the coasts of the AMORITES, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan. 23 So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the AMORITES from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it? 1 SAMUEL 7 14 And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the AMORITES. --MORE-- |
