1 SAMUEL 8 4 Then ALL the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, 5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like ALL the nations. 7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in ALL that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. 8 According to ALL the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. 10 And Samuel told ALL the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. 20 That we also may be like ALL the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. 21 And Samuel heard ALL the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 9 6 And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; ALL that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go. 19 And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee ALL that is in thine heart. 20 And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is ALL the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on ALL thy father's house? 21 And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of ALL the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me? 1 SAMUEL 10 9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and ALL those signs came to pass that day. 11 And it came to pass, when ALL that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? 18 And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of ALL kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: 19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of ALL your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands. 20 And when Samuel had caused ALL the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken. 24 And Samuel said to ALL the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among ALL the people? And ALL the people shouted, and said, God save the king. 25 Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent ALL the people away, every man to his house. 1 SAMUEL 11 1 Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and ALL the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee. 2 And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out ALL your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon ALL Israel. 3 And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto ALL the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee. 4 Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and ALL the people lifted up their voices, and wept. 7 And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout ALL the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. 10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us ALL that seemeth good unto you. 15 And ALL the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and ALL the men of Israel rejoiced greatly. 1 SAMUEL 12 1 And Samuel said unto ALL Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in ALL that ye said unto me, and have made a king over you. 7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of ALL the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers. 18 So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and ALL the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel. 19 And ALL the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto ALL our sins this evil, to ask us a king. 20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done ALL this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with ALL your heart; 24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with ALL your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. 1 SAMUEL 13 3 And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout ALL the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear. 4 And ALL Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal. 7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and ALL the people followed him trembling. 19 Now there was no smith found throughout ALL the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears: 20 But ALL the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock. 1 SAMUEL 14 7 And his armourbearer said unto him, Do ALL that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart. 15 And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among ALL the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling. 20 And Saul and ALL the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture. 22 Likewise ALL the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle. 25 And ALL they of the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground. 34 And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the LORD in eating with the blood. And ALL the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there. 38 And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, ALL the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day. 39 For, as the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among ALL the people that answered him. 40 Then said he unto ALL Israel, Be ye on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto thee. 47 So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against ALL his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them. 52 And there was sore war against the Philistines ALL the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he took him unto him. 1 SAMUEL 15 3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy ALL that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to ALL the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed ALL the people with the edge of the sword. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and ALL that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. 11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD ALL night. --MORE-- |
