JOB 42
1 Then Job answered the LORD, AND said,
2 I know that thou canst do every thing, AND that no thought can be withholden from thee.
4 Hear, I beseech thee, AND I will speak: I will demand of thee, AND declare thou unto me.
6 Wherefore I abhor myself, AND repent in dust AND ashes.
7 AND it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, AND against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks AND seven rams, AND go to my servant Job, AND offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; AND my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite AND Bildad the Shuhite AND Zophar the Naamathite went, AND did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
10 AND the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, AND all his sisters, AND all they that had been of his acquaintance before, AND did eat bread with him in his house: AND they bemoaned him, AND comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, AND every one an earring of gold.
12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, AND six thousand camels, AND a thousand yoke of oxen, AND a thousand she asses.
13 He had also seven sons AND three daughters.
14 AND he called the name of the first, Jemima; AND the name of the second, Kezia; AND the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
15 AND in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: AND their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 After this lived Job an hundred AND forty years, AND saw his sons, AND his sons' sons, even four generations.
17 So Job died, being old AND full of days.
PSALM 1
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; AND in his law doth he meditate day AND night.
3 AND he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; AND whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
PSALM 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, AND the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, AND the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, AND against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, AND cast away their cords from us.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, AND vex them in his sore displeasure.
8 Ask of me, AND I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, AND the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, AND rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, AND ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
PSALM 3
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, AND the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, AND he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down AND slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
PSALM 4
1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, AND hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, AND seek after leasing? Selah.
4 Stand in awe, AND sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, AND be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, AND put your trust in the LORD.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn AND their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, AND sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
PSALM 5
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, AND my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, AND will look up.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody AND deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: AND in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
PSALM 6
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed AND sore vexed: let them return AND be ashamed suddenly.
PSALM 7
1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, AND deliver me:
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, AND take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, AND lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: AND awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
8 The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, AND according to mine integrity that is in me.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts AND reins.
11 God judgeth the righteous, AND God is angry with the wicked every day.
12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, AND made it ready.
14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, AND hath conceived mischief, AND brought forth falsehood.
15 He made a pit, AND digged it, AND is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, AND his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: AND will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
PSALM 8
2 Out of the mouth of babes AND sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy AND the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon AND the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? AND the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, AND hast crowned him with glory AND honour.
7 All sheep AND oxen, yea, AND the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, AND the fish of the sea, AND whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
