PSALM 72 1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, AND thy righteousness unto the king's son. 2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, AND thy poor with judgment. 3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, AND the little hills, by righteousness. 4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, AND shall break in pieces the oppressor. 5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun AND moon endure, throughout all generations. 7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; AND abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. 8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, AND from the river unto the ends of the earth. 9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; AND his enemies shall lick the dust. 10 The kings of Tarshish AND of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba AND Seba shall offer gifts. 12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, AND him that hath no helper. 13 He shall spare the poor AND needy, AND shall save the souls of the needy. 14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit AND violence: AND precious shall their blood be in his sight. 15 AND he shall live, AND to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; AND daily shall he be praised. 16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: AND they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. 17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: AND men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. 19 AND blessed be his glorious name for ever: AND let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, AND Amen. PSALM 73 8 They are corrupt, AND speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. 9 They set their mouth against the heavens, AND their tongue walketh through the earth. 10 Therefore his people return hither: AND waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. 11 AND they say, How doth God know? AND is there knowledge in the most High? 13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, AND washed my hands in innocency. 14 For all the day long have I been plagued, AND chastened every morning. 21 Thus my heart was grieved, AND I was pricked in my reins. 22 So foolish was I, AND ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, AND afterward receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? AND there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. 26 My flesh AND my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, AND my portion for ever. PSALM 74 6 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes AND hammers. 14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, AND gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. 15 Thou didst cleave the fountain AND the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. 16 The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light AND the sun. 17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer AND winter. 18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, AND that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. 21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor AND needy praise thy name. PSALM 75 3 The earth AND all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. 4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: AND to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, AND setteth up another. 8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, AND the wine is red; it is full of mixture; AND he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, AND drink them. PSALM 76 2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, AND his dwelling place in Zion. 3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, AND the sword, AND the battle. Selah. 4 Thou art more glorious AND excellent than the mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: AND none of the men of might have found their hands. 6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot AND horse are cast into a dead sleep. 7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: AND who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry? 8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, AND was still, 11 Vow, AND pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. PSALM 77 1 I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; AND he gave ear unto me. 2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, AND ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. 3 I remembered God, AND was troubled: I complained, AND my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah. 6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: AND my spirit made diligent search. 7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? AND will he be favourable no more? 10 AND I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. 12 I will meditate also of all thy work, AND talk of thy doings. 15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob AND Joseph. Selah. 18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled AND shook. 19 Thy way is in the sea, AND thy path in the great waters, AND thy footsteps are not known. 20 Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses AND AARON. --MORE-- |
