EZRA 10 3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as ARE born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law. 13 But the people ARE many, and it is a time of much rain, and we ARE not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we ARE many that have transgressed in this thing. NEHEMIAH 1 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that ARE left of the captivity there in the province ARE in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof ARE burned with fire. 10 Now these ARE thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. NEHEMIAH 2 3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof ARE consumed with fire? 17 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we ARE in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof ARE burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. NEHEMIAH 4 2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which ARE burned? 4 Hear, O our God; for we ARE despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: 10 And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we ARE not able to build the wall. 19 And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we ARE separated upon the wall, one far from another. NEHEMIAH 5 2 For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, ARE many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live. 5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters ARE brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards. 17 Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that ARE about us. NEHEMIAH 6 8 Then I sent unto him, saying, There ARE no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart. NEHEMIAH 7 6 These ARE the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city; NEHEMIAH 9 6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that ARE therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. 36 Behold, we ARE servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we ARE servants in it: 37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we ARE in great distress. NEHEMIAH 10 39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where ARE the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God. NEHEMIAH 11 3 Now these ARE the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants. 7 And these ARE the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah. NEHEMIAH 12 1 Now these ARE the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, ESTHER 1 16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that ARE in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus. ESTHER 3 8 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws ARE diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them. ESTHER 4 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that ARE present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. ESTHER 7 4 For we ARE sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage. ESTHER 8 5 And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which ARE in all the king's provinces: 9 Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which ARE from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language. ESTHER 9 13 Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which ARE in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows. ESTHER 10 2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, ARE they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? JOB 1 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they ARE dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. JOB 3 8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who ARE ready to raise up their mourning. 19 The small and great ARE there; and the servant is free from his master. 22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and ARE glad, when they can find the grave? 24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings ARE poured out like the waters. JOB 4 9 By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils ARE they consumed. 10 The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, ARE broken. 11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lion's whelps ARE scattered abroad. 19 How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which ARE crushed before the moth? 20 They ARE destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it. JOB 5 4 His children ARE far from safety, and they ARE crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them. JOB 6 3 For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words ARE swallowed up. 4 For the arrows of the Almighty ARE within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me. 7 The things that my soul refused to touch ARE as my sorrowful meat. 16 Which ARE blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid: 17 What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they ARE consumed out of their place. 18 The paths of their way ARE turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish. 21 For now ye ARE nothing; ye see my casting down, and ARE afraid. 25 How forcible ARE right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? 26 Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which ARE as wind? --MORE-- |
