ISAIAH 29 9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they ARE drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. 15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works ARE in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? 20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity ARE cut off: ISAIAH 30 18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed ARE all they that wait for him. 27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips ARE full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: ISAIAH 31 1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they ARE many; and in horsemen, because they ARE very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! 3 Now the Egyptians ARE men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. ISAIAH 32 7 The instruments also of the churl ARE evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. 9 Rise up, ye women that ARE at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. 11 Tremble, ye women that ARE at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins. 20 Blessed ARE ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass. ISAIAH 33 13 Hear, ye that ARE far off, what I have done; and, ye that ARE near, acknowledge my might. 14 The sinners in Zion ARE afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? 23 Thy tacklings ARE loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. ISAIAH 35 4 Say to them that ARE of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. ISAIAH 36 5 I say, sayest thou, (but they ARE but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? 11 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that ARE on the wall. 19 Where ARE the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where ARE the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? 20 Who ARE they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? ISAIAH 37 3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children ARE come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. ISAIAH 39 3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They ARE come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. ISAIAH 40 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that ARE with young. 15 Behold, the nations ARE as a drop of a bucket, and ARE counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. 17 All nations before him ARE as nothing; and they ARE counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof ARE as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: ISAIAH 41 23 Shew the things that ARE to come hereafter, that we may know that ye ARE gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. 24 Behold, ye ARE of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you. 29 Behold, they ARE all vanity; their works ARE nothing: their molten images ARE wind and confusion. ISAIAH 42 9 Behold, the former things ARE come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. 17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye ARE our gods. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they ARE all of them snared in holes, and they ARE hid in prison houses: they ARE for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. ISAIAH 43 10 Ye ARE my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye ARE my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. 17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they ARE extinct, they ARE quenched as tow. ISAIAH 44 7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that ARE coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them. 8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye ARE even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. 9 They that make a graven image ARE all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they ARE their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. 11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they ARE of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together. ISAIAH 45 16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that ARE makers of idols. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that ARE right. 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that ARE escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that ARE incensed against him shall be ashamed. ISAIAH 46 1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they ARE a burden to the weary beast. 2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves ARE gone into captivity. 3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which ARE borne by me from the belly, which ARE carried from the womb: 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that ARE not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that ARE far from righteousness: ISAIAH 48 1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which ARE called by the name of Israel, and ARE come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness. 7 They ARE created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them. ISAIAH 49 9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that ARE in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls ARE continually before me. --MORE-- |
