ISAIAH 45 16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that ARE makers of idols. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that ARE right. 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that ARE escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that ARE incensed against him shall be ashamed. ISAIAH 46 1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they ARE a burden to the weary beast. 2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves ARE gone into captivity. 3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which ARE borne by me from the belly, which ARE carried from the womb: 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that ARE not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that ARE far from righteousness: ISAIAH 48 1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which ARE called by the name of Israel, and ARE come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness. 7 They ARE created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them. ISAIAH 49 9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that ARE in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls ARE continually before me. ISAIAH 51 1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye ARE hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye ARE digged. 19 These two things ARE come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee? 20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they ARE full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God. ISAIAH 52 7 How beautiful upon the mountains ARE the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! ISAIAH 53 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we ARE healed. ISAIAH 54 1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more ARE the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. ISAIAH 55 8 For my thoughts ARE not your thoughts, neither ARE your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens ARE higher than the earth, so ARE my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. ISAIAH 56 8 The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that ARE gathered unto him. 10 His watchmen ARE blind: they ARE all ignorant, they ARE all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. 11 Yea, they ARE greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they ARE shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. ISAIAH 57 1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men ARE taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. 4 Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? ARE ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood. 6 Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they ARE thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these? 20 But the wicked ARE like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. ISAIAH 58 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that ARE cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? ISAIAH 59 3 For your hands ARE defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works ARE works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. 7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts ARE thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction ARE in their paths. 10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we ARE in desolate places as dead men. 12 For our transgressions ARE multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions ARE with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; ISAIAH 60 8 Who ARE these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ISAIAH 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that ARE bound; 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they ARE the seed which the LORD hath blessed. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that ARE sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. ISAIAH 63 8 For he said, Surely they ARE my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. 15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? ARE they restrained? 19 We ARE thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name. ISAIAH 64 6 But we ARE all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses ARE as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. 8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we ARE the clay, and thou our potter; and we all ARE the work of thy hand. 9 Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we ARE all thy people. 10 Thy holy cities ARE a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. 11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things ARE laid waste. ISAIAH 65 5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These ARE a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. 11 But ye ARE they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. 16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles ARE forgotten, and because they ARE hid from mine eyes. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree ARE the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they ARE the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they ARE yet speaking, I will hear. --MORE-- |
