LAMENTATIONS 3 22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we ARE not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They ARE new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. LAMENTATIONS 4 1 How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary ARE poured out in the top of every street. 2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how ARE they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter! 5 They that did feed delicately ARE desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. 8 Their visage is blacker than a coal; they ARE not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. 9 They that be slain with the sword ARE better than they that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field. 18 They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days ARE fulfilled; for our end is come. 19 Our persecutors ARE swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness. LAMENTATIONS 5 3 We ARE orphans and fatherless, our mothers ARE as widows. 5 Our necks ARE under persecution: we labour, and have no rest. 7 Our fathers have sinned, and ARE not; and we have borne their iniquities. 12 Princes ARE hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured. 17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes ARE dim. EZEKIEL 2 4 For they ARE impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they ARE a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they ARE most rebellious. EZEKIEL 3 7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel ARE impudent and hardhearted. 26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they ARE a rebellious house. 27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they ARE a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 5 2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege ARE fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that ARE round about her. 6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that ARE round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them. 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that ARE round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that ARE round about you; 14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that ARE round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by. 15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that ARE round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it. EZEKIEL 7 9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that ARE in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth. EZEKIEL 11 2 Then said he unto me, Son of man, these ARE the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city: 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they ARE the flesh, and this city is the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it. 12 And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that ARE round about you. 15 Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, ARE they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession. EZEKIEL 12 2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they ARE a rebellious house. 10 Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that ARE among them. 14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that ARE about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. 20 And the cities that ARE inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days ARE prolonged, and every vision faileth? 23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days ARE at hand, and the effect of every vision. 27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that ARE far off. EZEKIEL 13 4 O Israel, thy prophets ARE like the foxes in the deserts. EZEKIEL 14 5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they ARE all estranged from me through their idols. EZEKIEL 16 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts ARE fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. 27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which ARE ashamed of thy lewd way. 38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood ARE judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy. 52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they ARE more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters. 57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that ARE round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about. EZEKIEL 18 2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth ARE set on edge? 4 Behold, all souls ARE mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 25 Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? ARE not your ways unequal? 29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, ARE not my ways equal? ARE not your ways unequal? EZEKIEL 20 3 Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; ARE ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you. 30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; ARE ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? 34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye ARE scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. --MORE-- |
