LUKE 23 19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into PRISON.) 25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into PRISON, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. LUKE 24 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the PROPHETS have spoken: 27 And beginning at Moses and all the PROPHETS, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the PROPHETS, and in the psalms, concerning me. JOHN 1 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the PROPHETS, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. JOHN 3 24 For John was not yet cast into PRISON. JOHN 6 45 It is written in the PROPHETS, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. JOHN 8 52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the PROPHETS; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. 53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the PROPHETS are dead: whom makest thou thyself? ACTS 3 18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his PROPHETS, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy PROPHETS since the world began. 24 Yea, and all the PROPHETS from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25 Ye are the children of the PROPHETS, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. ACTS 5 18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common PRISON. 19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the PRISON doors, and brought them forth, and said, 21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the PRISON to have them brought. 22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the PRISON, they returned and told, 23 Saying, The PRISON truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. 25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in PRISON are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. ACTS 7 42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the PROPHETS, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? 52 Which of the PROPHETS have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: ACTS 8 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to PRISON. ACTS 10 43 To him give all the PROPHETS witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. ACTS 11 27 And in these days came PROPHETS from Jerusalem unto Antioch. ACTS 12 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in PRISON, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in PRISON: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the PRISON. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the PRISON: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the PRISON. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. ACTS 13 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain PROPHETS and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 15 And after the reading of the law and the PROPHETS the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. 27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the PROPHETS which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the PROPHETS; ACTS 15 15 And to this agree the words of the PROPHETS; as it is written, 32 And Judas and Silas, being PROPHETS also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. ACTS 16 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into PRISON, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner PRISON, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the PRISON were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the PRISON awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the PRISON doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 36 And the keeper of the PRISON told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace. 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into PRISON; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 40 And they went out of the PRISON, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed. ACTS 20 26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am PURE from the blood of all men. ACTS 24 12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither RAISING up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: 14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the PROPHETS: ACTS 26 10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in PRISON, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the PROPHETS and Moses did say should come: 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the PROPHETS? I know that thou believest. ACTS 28 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the PROPHETS, from morning till evening. --MORE-- |
