ACTS 10
2 A devout man, and one that feared GOD with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to GOD alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of GOD coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up FOR a memorial before GOD.
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call FOR one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and FOWLS of the air.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; FOR I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What GOD hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry FOR Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: FOR I have sent them.
22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth GOD, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from GOD by an holy angel to send FOR thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited FOR them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing FOR a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but GOD hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent FOR: I ask therefore FOR what intent ye have sent FOR me?
31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of GOD.
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before GOD, to hear all things that are commanded thee of GOD.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that GOD is no respecter of persons:
36 The word which GOD sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
38 How GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; FOR GOD was with him.
40 Him GOD raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before GOD, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of GOD to be the Judge of quick and dead.
46 FOR they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify GOD. Then answered Peter,
ACTS 11
1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of GOD.
6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and FOWLS of the air.
8 But I said, Not so, Lord: FOR nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What GOD hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call FOR Simon, whose surname is Peter;
17 Forasmuch then as GOD gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand GOD?
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified GOD, saying, Then hath GOD also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of GOD, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
24 FOR he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, FOR to seek Saul:
ACTS 12
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto GOD FOR him.
14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate FOR gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
19 And when Herod had sought FOR him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.
22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a GOD, and not of a man.
23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not GOD the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
24 But the word of GOD grew and multiplied.
ACTS 13
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul FOR the work whereunto I have called them.
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of GOD in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called FOR Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of GOD.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (FOR so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun FOR a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation FOR the people, say on.
16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear GOD, give audience.
17 The GOD of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
21 And afterward they desired a king: and GOD gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
23 Of this man's seed hath GOD according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth GOD, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 FOR they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
30 But GOD raised him from the dead:
33 GOD hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
36 FOR David, after he had served his own generation by the will of GOD, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom GOD raised again, saw no corruption.
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: FOR I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of GOD.
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of GOD.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of GOD should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 FOR so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be FOR salvation unto the ends of the earth.
