MARK 16 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: FOR it was very great. 8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; FOR they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; FOR they were afraid. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of GOD. FOR I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of GOD; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 21 And the people waited FOR Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: FOR he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from GOD unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: FOR thou hast found favour with GOD. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord GOD shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob FOR ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of GOD. 37 FOR with GOD nothing shall be impossible. 44 FOR, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb FOR joy. 45 And blessed is she that believed: FOR there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in GOD my Saviour. 48 FOR he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: FOR, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 FOR he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed FOR ever. 63 And he asked FOR a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised GOD. 68 Blessed be the Lord GOD of Israel; FOR he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation FOR us in the house of his servant David; 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: FOR thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 78 Through the tender mercy of our GOD; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, LUKE 2 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room FOR them in the inn. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: FOR, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 FOR unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising GOD, and saying, 14 Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising GOD FOR all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. 21 And when eight days were accomplished FOR the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting FOR the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do FOR him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed GOD, and said, 30 FOR mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set FOR the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and FOR a sign which shall be spoken against; 37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served GOD with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked FOR redemption in Jerusalem. 40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of GOD was upon him. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with GOD and man. LUKE 3 2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of GOD came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance FOR the remission of sins; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of GOD. 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: FOR I say unto you, That GOD is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him FOR Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and FOR all the evils which Herod had done, 38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of GOD. --MORE-- |
