SONG OF SOLOMON 8 6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of FIRE, which hath a most vehement flame. ISAIAH 1 7 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with FIRE: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. ISAIAH 31 8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall FLEE from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. 9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose FIRE is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. ISAIAH 33 11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as FIRE, shall devour you. 12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the FIRE. 14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring FIRE? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? ISAIAH 35 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall FLEE away. ISAIAH 37 19 And have cast their gods into the FIRE: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. ISAIAH 41 22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the FORMER things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. ISAIAH 42 9 Behold, the FORMER things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. 25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on FIRE round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart. ISAIAH 43 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the FIRE, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us FORMER things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 18 Remember ye not the FORMER things, neither consider the things of old. ISAIAH 44 16 He burneth part thereof in the FIRE; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the FIRE: 19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the FIRE; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? ISAIAH 46 9 Remember the FORMER things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, ISAIAH 47 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the FIRE shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor FIRE to sit before it. ISAIAH 48 3 I have declared the FORMER things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. 20 Go ye forth of Babylon, FLEE ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. ISAIAH 50 11 Behold, all ye that kindle a FIRE, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your FIRE, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow. ISAIAH 51 11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall FLEE away. ISAIAH 54 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the FIRE, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. ISAIAH 60 5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the FORCES of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. 11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the FORCES of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. ISAIAH 61 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the FORMER desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. ISAIAH 64 2 As when the melting FIRE burneth, the FIRE causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! 11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with FIRE: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. --MORE-- |
