ISAIAH 41 22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the FORMER things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. ISAIAH 42 9 Behold, the FORMER things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. 25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on FIRE round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart. ISAIAH 64 2 As when the melting FIRE burneth, the FIRE causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! 11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with FIRE: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. ISAIAH 65 5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a FIRE that burneth all the day. 7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their FORMER work into their bosom. 16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the FORMER troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the FORMER shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. ISAIAH 66 15 For, behold, the LORD will come with FIRE, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of FIRE. 16 For by FIRE and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. 24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their FIRE be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. JEREMIAH 4 4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like FIRE, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 29 The whole city shall FLEE for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein. JEREMIAH 6 1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to FLEE out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of FIRE in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction. 29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the FIRE; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. JEREMIAH 7 18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the FIRE, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the FIRE; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart. JEREMIAH 10 16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the FORMER of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name. JEREMIAH 11 16 The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled FIRE upon it, and the branches of it are broken. JEREMIAH 15 14 And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a FIRE is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. JEREMIAH 17 4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a FIRE in mine anger, which shall burn for ever. 27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a FIRE in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched. JEREMIAH 19 5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with FIRE for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: JEREMIAH 20 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning FIRE shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. JEREMIAH 21 10 For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with FIRE. 12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like FIRE, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a FIRE in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 22 7 And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the FIRE. JEREMIAH 23 29 Is not my word like as a FIRE? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? JEREMIAH 25 35 And the shepherds shall have no way to FLEE, nor the principal of the flock to escape. JEREMIAH 29 22 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the FIRE; JEREMIAH 32 29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set FIRE on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. 35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the FIRE unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. --MORE-- |
