ACTS 8 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to PRISON. ACTS 10 43 To him give all the PROPHETS witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. ACTS 11 27 And in these days came PROPHETS from Jerusalem unto Antioch. ACTS 12 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in PRISON, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in PRISON: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the PRISON. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the PRISON: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the PRISON. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. ACTS 13 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain PROPHETS and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 15 And after the reading of the law and the PROPHETS the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. 27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the PROPHETS which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second PSALM, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 35 Wherefore he saith also in another PSALM, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the PROPHETS; ACTS 15 15 And to this agree the words of the PROPHETS; as it is written, 32 And Judas and Silas, being PROPHETS also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. ACTS 16 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into PRISON, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner PRISON, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the PRISON were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the PRISON awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the PRISON doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 36 And the keeper of the PRISON told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace. 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into PRISON; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 40 And they went out of the PRISON, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed. ACTS 24 14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the PROPHETS: ACTS 26 10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in PRISON, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the PROPHETS and Moses did say should come: 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the PROPHETS? I know that thou believest. ACTS 28 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the PROPHETS, from morning till evening. ROMANS 1 2 (Which he had promised afore by his PROPHETS in the holy scriptures,) ROMANS 3 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the PROPHETS; ROMANS 11 3 Lord, they have killed thy PROPHETS, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. ROMANS 16 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the PROPHETS, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 1 CORINTHIANS 9 24 Know ye not that they which run in a RACE run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1 CORINTHIANS 12 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily PROPHETS, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all PROPHETS? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 1 CORINTHIANS 14 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a PSALM, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 29 Let the PROPHETS speak two or three, and let the other judge. 32 And the spirits of the PROPHETS are subject to the PROPHETS. EPHESIANS 2 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and PROPHETS, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; EPHESIANS 3 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and PROPHETS by the Spirit; EPHESIANS 4 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, PROPHETS; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 1 THESSALONIANS 2 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: HEBREWS 1 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the PROPHETS, HEBREWS 11 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the PROPHETS: HEBREWS 12 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the RACE that is set before us, JAMES 5 10 Take, my brethren, the PROPHETS, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 1 PETER 1 10 Of which salvation the PROPHETS have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1 PETER 3 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in PRISON; 2 PETER 2 1 But there were false PROPHETS also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 PETER 3 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy PROPHETS, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: --MORE-- |
