The sons of AARON; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under AARON their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him. 31 These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of AARON in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren. 2 CHRONICLES 7 1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the FIRE came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. 3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the FIRE came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 CHRONICLES 13 9 Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of AARON, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods. 10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of AARON, and the Levites wait upon their business: --MORE-- |
