NUMBERS 20 2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against AARON. 6 And Moses and AARON went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and AARON thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. 10 And Moses and AARON gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and AARON, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and AARON in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, 24 AARON shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. 25 Take AARON and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor: 26 And strip AARON of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and AARON shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there. 28 And Moses stripped AARON of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and AARON died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. 29 And when all the congregation saw that AARON was dead, they mourned for AARON thirty days, even all the house of Israel. NUMBERS 25 7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of AARON the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of AARON the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. NUMBERS 26 1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of AARON the priest, saying, 9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against AARON in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD: 59 And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram AARON and Moses, and Miriam their sister. 60 And unto AARON was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and AARON the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. NUMBERS 27 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as AARON thy brother was gathered. NUMBERS 33 1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and AARON. 38 And AARON the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month. 39 And AARON was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor. DEUTERONOMY 9 20 And the LORD was very angry with AARON to have destroyed him: and I prayed for AARON also the same time. DEUTERONOMY 10 6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there AARON died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead. DEUTERONOMY 32 50 And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as AARON thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: DEUTERONOMY 33 11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and ACCEPT the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. JOSHUA 7 2 And Joshua sent men from Jericho to AI, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed AI. 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite AI; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. 4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of AI. 5 And the men of AI smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. JOSHUA 8 1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to AI: see, I have given into thy hand the king of AI, and his people, and his city, and his land: 2 And thou shalt do to AI and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it. 3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against AI: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night. 9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and AI, on the west side of AI: but Joshua lodged that night among the people. 10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to AI. 11 And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of AI: now there was a valley between them and AI. 12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and AI, on the west side of the city. 14 And it came to pass, when the king of AI saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city. 16 And all the people that were in AI were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city. 17 And there was not a man left in AI or Bethel, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel. 18 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward AI; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city. 20 And when the men of AI looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. 21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of AI. 23 And the king of AI they took alive, and brought him to Joshua. 24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of AI in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto AI, and smote it with the edge of the sword. 25 And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of AI. 26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of AI. 28 And Joshua burnt AI, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day. 29 And the king of AI he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.
