NUMBERS 19 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto AARON, saying, 2 This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee A red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: 9 And A man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in A clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for A water of separation: it is A purification for sin. 10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for A statute for ever. 14 This is the law, when A man dieth in A tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. 16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with A sword in the open fields, or A dead body, or A bone of A man, or A grave, shall be unclean seven days. 17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in A vessel: 18 And A clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched A bone, or one slain, or one dead, or A grave: 21 And it shall be A perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even. NUMBERS 20 2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against AARON. 6 And Moses and AARON went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and AARON thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. 10 And Moses and AARON gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and AARON, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. 15 How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt A long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers: 16 And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, A city in the uttermost of thy border: 20 And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with A strong hand. 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and AARON in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, 24 AARON shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. 25 Take AARON and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor: 26 And strip AARON of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and AARON shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there. 28 And Moses stripped AARON of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and AARON died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. 29 And when all the congregation saw that AARON was dead, they mourned for AARON thirty days, even all the house of Israel. NUMBERS 21 2 And Israel vowed A vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee A fiery serpent, and set it upon A pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made A serpent of brass, and put it upon A pole, and it came to pass, that if A serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. 28 For there is A fire gone out of Heshbon, A flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon. NUMBERS 22 5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is A people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: 11 Behold, there is A people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. 24 But the angel of the LORD stood in A path of the vineyards, A wall being on this side, and A wall on that side. 26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in A narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. 27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with A staff. 29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were A sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. 36 And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto A city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast. NUMBERS 23 2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar A bullock and A ram. 4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar A bullock and A ram. 5 And the LORD put A word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak. 14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered A bullock and A ram on every altar. 16 And the LORD met Balaam, and put A word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus. 19 God is not A man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? 21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of A king is among them. 24 Behold, the people shall rise up as A great lion, and lift up himself as A young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain. 30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered A bullock and A ram on every altar. NUMBERS 24 4 He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into A trance, but having his eyes open: 9 He couched, he lay down as A lion, and as A great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee. 16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into A trance, but having his eyes open: 17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come A Star out of Jacob, and A Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. 18 And Edom shall be A possession, Seir also shall be A possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. 21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in A rock. NUMBERS 25 6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren A Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of AARON the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took A javelin in his hand; 11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of AARON the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. 14 Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, A prince of A chief house among the Simeonites. 15 And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over A people, and of A chief house in Midian. 18 For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of A prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake. --MORE-- |
