JEREMIAH 11 22 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the SWORD; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine: JEREMIAH 12 12 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the SWORD of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. JEREMIAH 14 12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. 13 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the SWORD, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. 15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, SWORD and famine shall not be in this land; By SWORD and famine shall those prophets be consumed. 16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the SWORD; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. 18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the SWORD! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not. JEREMIAH 15 2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the SWORD, to the SWORD; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. 3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the SWORD to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. 9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the SWORD before their enemies, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 16 4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the SWORD, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 18 21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the SWORD; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the SWORD in battle. JEREMIAH 19 7 And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the SWORD before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 20 4 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the SWORD of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the SWORD. JEREMIAH 21 7 And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the SWORD, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the SWORD; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. 9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. JEREMIAH 24 10 And I will send the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. JEREMIAH 25 16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the SWORD that I will send among them. 27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the SWORD which I will send among you. 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a SWORD upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the SWORD, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 26 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; 23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the SWORD, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people. JEREMIAH 27 8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the SWORD, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. 13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? JEREMIAH 29 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. 18 And I will persecute them with the SWORD, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 31 2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the SWORD found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. JEREMIAH 32 24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the SWORD, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. 36 And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; JEREMIAH 33 4 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the SWORD; JEREMIAH 34 4 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the SWORD: 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the SWORD, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 2 Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live. 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. 18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the SWORD, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 41 2 Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with him, and smote Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the SWORD, and slew him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land. 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the SWORD, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. 17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. 22 Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn. JEREMIAH 43 11 And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the SWORD to the SWORD. JEREMIAH 44 12 And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the SWORD and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the SWORD and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach. 13 For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: 18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the SWORD and by the famine. 27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the SWORD and by the famine, until there be an end of them. 28 Yet a small number that escape the SWORD shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's. --MORE-- |
