JEREMIAH 24 10 And I will send the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. JEREMIAH 25 16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the SWORD that I will send among them. 27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the SWORD which I will send among you. 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a SWORD upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the SWORD, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 26 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; 23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the SWORD, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people. JEREMIAH 27 8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the SWORD, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. 13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? JEREMIAH 29 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. 18 And I will persecute them with the SWORD, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 31 2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the SWORD found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. JEREMIAH 32 24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the SWORD, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. 36 And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; JEREMIAH 33 4 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the SWORD; JEREMIAH 34 4 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the SWORD: 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the SWORD, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 2 Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live. 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. 18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the SWORD, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 41 2 Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men that were with him, and smote Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the SWORD, and slew him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land. 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the SWORD, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. 17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. 22 Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn. JEREMIAH 43 11 And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the SWORD to the SWORD. JEREMIAH 44 12 And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the SWORD and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the SWORD and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach. 13 For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence: 18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the SWORD and by the famine. 27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the SWORD and by the famine, until there be an end of them. 28 Yet a small number that escape the SWORD shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's. JEREMIAH 46 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the SWORD shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. 14 Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the SWORD shall devour round about thee. 16 He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing SWORD. 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 47 6 O thou SWORD of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. JEREMIAH 48 2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the SWORD shall pursue thee. 10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his SWORD from blood. JEREMIAH 49 37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the SWORD after them, till I have consumed them: JEREMIAH 50 16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing SWORD they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land. 35 A SWORD is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men. 36 A SWORD is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a SWORD is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed. 37 A SWORD is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a SWORD is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed. JEREMIAH 51 50 Ye that have escaped the SWORD, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind. LAMENTATIONS 1 20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the SWORD bereaveth, at home there is as death. --MORE-- |
