JEREMIAH 37 17 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou SHALT be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon. JEREMIAH 38 17 Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou SHALT live, and thine house: 18 But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou SHALT not escape out of their hand. 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. 23 So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou SHALT not escape out of their hand, but SHALT be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou SHALT cause this city to be burned with fire. 24 Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou SHALT not die. 26 Then thou SHALT say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou SHALT not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. 18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou SHALT not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 40 16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou SHALT not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael. JEREMIAH 45 4 Thus SHALT thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. JEREMIAH 46 11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain SHALT thou use many medicines; for thou SHALT not be cured. 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 48 2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou SHALT be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee. 7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou SHALT also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together. JEREMIAH 49 12 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou SHALT not go unpunished, but thou SHALT surely drink of it. JEREMIAH 51 26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou SHALT be desolate for ever, saith the LORD. 61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and SHALT see, and SHALT read all these words; 62 Then SHALT thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. 63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou SHALT bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: 64 And thou SHALT say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah. LAMENTATIONS 4 21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou SHALT be drunken, and SHALT make thyself naked. EZEKIEL 2 4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou SHALT say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. 7 And thou SHALT speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. EZEKIEL 3 18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou SHALT surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou SHALT not go out among them: 26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou SHALT be dumb, and SHALT not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house. 27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou SHALT say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 4 3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou SHALT lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel. 4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou SHALT lie upon it thou SHALT bear their iniquity. 5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so SHALT thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou SHALT bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. 7 Therefore thou SHALT set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou SHALT prophesy against it. 8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou SHALT not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege. 9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou SHALT lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days SHALT thou eat thereof. 10 And thy meat which thou SHALT eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time SHALT thou eat it. 11 Thou SHALT drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time SHALT thou drink. 12 And thou SHALT eat it as barley cakes, and thou SHALT bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. 15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou SHALT prepare thy bread therewith. EZEKIEL 5 2 Thou SHALT burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou SHALT take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou SHALT scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. 3 Thou SHALT also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts. EZEKIEL 8 6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou SHALT see greater abominations. 13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou SHALT see greater abominations that they do. 15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou SHALT see greater abominations than these. EZEKIEL 12 3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou SHALT remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house. 4 Then SHALT thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou SHALT go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity. 6 In their sight SHALT thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou SHALT cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel. --MORE-- |
