DANIEL 4 5 I saw a dream which made me AFRAID, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. 6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the WISE men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. 18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the WISE men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. DANIEL 5 7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the WISE men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. 8 Then came in all the king's WISE men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof. 15 And now the WISE men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing: DANIEL 8 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was AFRAID, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. DANIEL 12 3 And they that be WISE shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the WISE shall understand. HOSEA 14 9 Who is WISE, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. JOEL 2 22 Be not AFRAID, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? OBADIAH 1 8 Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the WISE men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? JONAH 1 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 2 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? HABAKKUK 2 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ZEPHANIAH 3 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. ZECHARIAH 9 2 And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very WISE. MALACHI 2 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was AFRAID before my name. MATTHEW 2 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came WISE men from the east to Jerusalem, 7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the WISE men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the WISE men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the WISE men. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was AFRAID to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: MATTHEW 5 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no WISE pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. MATTHEW 7 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a WISE man, which built his house upon a rock: MATTHEW 10 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore WISE as serpents, and harmless as doves. 42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no WISE lose his reward. MATTHEW 11 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the WISE and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. MATTHEW 14 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not AFRAID. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was AFRAID; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. MATTHEW 17 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore AFRAID. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not AFRAID. MATTHEW 21 24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like WISE will tell you by what authority I do these things. MATTHEW 25 2 And five of them were WISE, and five were foolish. 4 But the WISE took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the WISE, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the WISE answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 25 And I was AFRAID, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
