But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 1 CHRONICLES 13 12 And David was AFRAID of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? 1 CHRONICLES 21 30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was AFRAID because of the sword of the angel of the LORD. 2 CHRONICLES 20 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not AFRAID nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 CHRONICLES 23 4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the SABBATH, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors; 8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the SABBATH, with them that were to go out on the SABBATH: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses. 2 CHRONICLES 32 7 Be strong and courageous, be not AFRAID nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: 2 CHRONICLES 36 21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept SABBATH, to fulfil threescore and ten years. NEHEMIAH 2 2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore AFRAID, NEHEMIAH 4 14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye AFRAID of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. NEHEMIAH 6 9 For they all made us AFRAID, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. 13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be AFRAID, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. NEHEMIAH 9 14 And madest known unto them thy holy SABBATH, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant: NEHEMIAH 10 31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the SABBATH day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the SABBATH, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. NEHEMIAH 13 15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the SABBATH, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the SABBATH day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. 16 There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the SABBATH unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the SABBATH day? 18 Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the SABBATH. 19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the SABBATH, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the SABBATH: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the SABBATH day. 21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the SABBATH. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the SABBATH day.
