1 SAMUEL 22 5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, ABIDE not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. 23 ABIDE thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard. 1 SAMUEL 25 33 And blessed be thy ADVICE, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. 1 SAMUEL 30 21 And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to ABIDE at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them. 2 SAMUEL 11 11 And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, ABIDE in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing. 2 SAMUEL 15 19 Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and ABIDE with the king: for thou art a stranger, and also an exile. 2 SAMUEL 16 18 And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I ABIDE. 2 SAMUEL 19 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our ADVICE should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel. 2 SAMUEL 23 8 These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was ADINO the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time. 1 KINGS 8 13 I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to ABIDE in for ever. 1 KINGS 14 4 And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his AGE. 1 KINGS 15 23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old AGE he was diseased in his feet. 2 KINGS 15 38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and AHAZ his son reigned in his stead. 2 KINGS 16 1 In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah AHAZ the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign. 2 Twenty years old was AHAZ when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father. 5 Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged AHAZ, but could not overcome him. 7 So AHAZ sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me. 8 And AHAZ took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria. 10 And king AHAZ went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and king AHAZ sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof. 11 And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that king AHAZ had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king AHAZ came from Damascus. 15 And king AHAZ commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by. 16 Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king AHAZ commanded. 17 And king AHAZ cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones. 19 Now the rest of the acts of AHAZ which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 20 And AHAZ slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. 2 KINGS 17 1 In the twelfth year of AHAZ king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years. 2 KINGS 18 1 Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of AHAZ king of Judah began to reign. 2 KINGS 20 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of AHAZ. 2 KINGS 23 12 And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of AHAZ, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron. 1 CHRONICLES 3 13 AHAZ his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son, 1 CHRONICLES 8 35 And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and AHAZ. 36 And AHAZ begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza, 1 CHRONICLES 9 41 And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and AHAZ. 42 And AHAZ begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza; 1 CHRONICLES 23 3 Now the Levites were numbered from the AGE of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand. 24 These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the AGE of twenty years and upward. 1 CHRONICLES 29 28 And he died in a good old AGE, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead. 2 CHRONICLES 10 9 And he said unto them, What ADVICE give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us? 14 And answered them after the ADVICE of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 2 CHRONICLES 25 17 Then Amaziah king of Judah took ADVICE, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face. 19 Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: ABIDE now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee? 2 CHRONICLES 27 9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and AHAZ his son reigned in his stead. 2 CHRONICLES 28 1 AHAZ was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father: 16 At that time did king AHAZ send unto the kings of Assyria to help him. 19 For the LORD brought Judah low because of AHAZ king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD. 21 For AHAZ took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not. 22 And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king AHAZ. 24 And AHAZ gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem. 27 And AHAZ slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. 2 CHRONICLES 29 19 Moreover all the vessels, which king AHAZ in his reign did cast away in his transgression, have we prepared and sanctified, and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD. --MORE-- |
