JEREMIAH 31 1 At the same time, SAITH the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. 2 Thus SAITH the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. 7 For thus SAITH the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. 14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, SAITH the LORD. 15 Thus SAITH the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. 16 Thus SAITH the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, SAITH the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. 17 And there is hope in thine end, SAITH the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border. 20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, SAITH the LORD. 23 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness. 27 Behold, the days come, SAITH the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. 28 And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, SAITH the LORD. 31 Behold, the days come, SAITH the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, SAITH the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, SAITH the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, SAITH the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35 Thus SAITH the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, SAITH the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. 37 Thus SAITH the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, SAITH the LORD. 38 Behold, the days come, SAITH the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. JEREMIAH 32 3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus SAITH the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; 5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, SAITH the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper. 14 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days. 15 For thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. 28 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: 30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, SAITH the LORD. 36 And now therefore thus SAITH the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; 42 For thus SAITH the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. 44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, SAITH the LORD. JEREMIAH 33 2 Thus SAITH the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; 4 For thus SAITH the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword; 10 Thus SAITH the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, 11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, SAITH the LORD. 12 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. 13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, SAITH the LORD. 14 Behold, the days come, SAITH the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. 17 For thus SAITH the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; 20 Thus SAITH the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; 25 Thus SAITH the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; JEREMIAH 34 2 Thus SAITH the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus SAITH the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: 4 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus SAITH the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword: 5 But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, SAITH the LORD. 13 Thus SAITH the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying, 17 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, SAITH the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 22 Behold, I will command, SAITH the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant. JEREMIAH 35 13 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? SAITH the LORD. 17 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered. 18 And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: 19 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. 29 And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus SAITH the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? 30 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost. --MORE-- |
