AMOS 7 3 The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, SAITH the LORD. 6 The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, SAITH the Lord GOD. 11 For thus Amos SAITH, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 17 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land. AMOS 8 3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, SAITH the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, SAITH the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day: 11 Behold, the days come, SAITH the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: AMOS 9 7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? SAITH the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, SAITH the LORD. 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, SAITH the LORD that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, SAITH the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, SAITH the LORD thy God. OBADIAH 1 1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus SAITH the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. 3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that SAITH in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? 4 Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, SAITH the LORD. 8 Shall I not in that day, SAITH the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? JONAH 1 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. MICAH 2 3 Therefore thus SAITH the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. MICAH 3 5 Thus SAITH the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. 6 In that day, SAITH the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; MICAH 5 10 And it shall come to pass in that day, SAITH the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 1 12 Thus SAITH the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. NAHUM 2 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? 13 Behold, I am against thee, SAITH the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard. NAHUM 3 5 Behold, I am against thee, SAITH the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. HABAKKUK 2 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. 19 Woe unto him that SAITH to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ZEPHANIAH 1 2 I will utterly consume all things from off the land, SAITH the LORD. 3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, SAITH the LORD. 10 And it shall come to pass in that day, SAITH the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. ZEPHANIAH 2 9 Therefore as I live, SAITH the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. ZEPHANIAH 3 8 Therefore wait ye upon me, SAITH the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. 20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, SAITH the LORD. HAGGAI 1 5 Now therefore thus SAITH the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 7 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, SAITH the LORD. 9 Ye looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? SAITH the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. 13 Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, SAITH the LORD. HAGGAI 2 4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, SAITH the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, SAITH the LORD, and work: for I am with you, SAITH the LORD of hosts: 6 For thus SAITH the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, SAITH the LORD of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, SAITH the LORD of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, SAITH the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, SAITH the LORD of hosts. 11 Thus SAITH the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, 14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, SAITH the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. 17 I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, SAITH the LORD. 23 In that day, SAITH the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, SAITH the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, SAITH the LORD of hosts. --MORE-- |
