DEUTERONOMY 20 1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. DEUTERONOMY 24 1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to PASS that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. DEUTERONOMY 27 2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall PASS over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister: DEUTERONOMY 28 1 And it shall come to PASS, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 15 But it shall come to PASS, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 63 And it shall come to PASS, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. DEUTERONOMY 29 19 And it come to PASS, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: DEUTERONOMY 30 1 And it shall come to PASS, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 21 And it shall come to PASS, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware. 24 And it came to PASS, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, JOSHUA 1 1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to PASS, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 11 PASS through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall PASS over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall PASS before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; JOSHUA 2 5 And it came to PASS about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. JOSHUA 3 2 And it came to PASS after three days, that the officers went through the host; 6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and PASS over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. 13 And it shall come to PASS, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. 14 And it came to PASS, when the people removed from their tents, to PASS over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; JOSHUA 4 1 And it came to PASS, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, 5 And Joshua said unto them, PASS over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: 11 And it came to PASS, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people. 18 And it came to PASS, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. JOSHUA 5 1 And it came to PASS, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel. 8 And it came to PASS, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole. 13 And it came to PASS, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? JOSHUA 6 5 And it shall come to PASS, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. 7 And he said unto the people, PASS on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed PASS on before the ark of the LORD. 8 And it came to PASS, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. 15 And it came to PASS on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. 16 And it came to PASS at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to PASS, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to PASS, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them, 14 And it came to PASS, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city. 24 And it came to PASS, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword. JOSHUA 9 1 And it came to PASS, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof; 16 And it came to PASS at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them. 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 10 1 Now it came to PASS, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them; 11 And it came to PASS, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. 20 And it came to PASS, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities. 24 And it came to PASS, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 27 And it came to PASS at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day. JOSHUA 11 1 And it came to PASS, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 15 18 And it came to PASS, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? JOSHUA 17 13 Yet it came to PASS, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out. --MORE-- |
