JOSHUA 6 5 And it shall come to PASS, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. 7 And he said unto the people, PASS on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed PASS on before the ark of the LORD. 8 And it came to PASS, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. 15 And it came to PASS on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. 16 And it came to PASS at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to PASS, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to PASS, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them, 14 And it came to PASS, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city. 24 And it came to PASS, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword. JOSHUA 9 1 And it came to PASS, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof; 16 And it came to PASS at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them. 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 10 1 Now it came to PASS, when Adonizedec king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them; 11 And it came to PASS, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. 20 And it came to PASS, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities. 24 And it came to PASS, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 27 And it came to PASS at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day. JOSHUA 11 1 And it came to PASS, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 15 18 And it came to PASS, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? JOSHUA 17 13 Yet it came to PASS, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out. JOSHUA 21 45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to PASS. JOSHUA 22 19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then PASS ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God. JOSHUA 23 1 And it came to PASS a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age. 14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to PASS unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. 15 Therefore it shall come to PASS, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you. JOSHUA 24 29 And it came to PASS after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old. JUDGES 1 1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to PASS, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them? 14 And it came to PASS, when she came to him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wilt thou? 28 And it came to PASS, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out. JUDGES 2 4 And it came to PASS, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept. 19 And it came to PASS, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. JUDGES 3 27 And it came to PASS, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them. 28 And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to PASS over. JUDGES 6 7 And it came to PASS, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites, 25 And it came to PASS the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it: JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. 9 And it came to PASS the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand. JUDGES 8 33 And it came to PASS, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god. JUDGES 9 42 And it came to PASS on the morrow, that the people went out into the field; and they told Abimelech. JUDGES 11 4 And it came to PASS in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel. 17 Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, PASS through thy land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh. 19 And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us PASS, we pray thee, through thy land into my place. 20 But Sihon trusted not Israel to PASS through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against Israel. 35 And it came to PASS, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back. 39 And it came to PASS at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel, JUDGES 13 12 And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to PASS. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him? 17 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to PASS we may do thee honour? 20 For it came to PASS, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. JUDGES 14 11 And it came to PASS, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him. 15 And it came to PASS on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so? 17 And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to PASS on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people. --MORE-- |
