EZEKIEL 26 3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the SEA causeth his waves to come up. 5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the SEA: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. 16 Then all the princes of the SEA shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee. 17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the SEA, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! 18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the SEA shall be troubled at thy departure. EZEKIEL 27 3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the SEA, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty. 9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the SEA with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise. 29 And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the SEA, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land; 32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the SEA? 35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore AFRAID, they shall be troubled in their countenance. EZEKIEL 30 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians AFRAID, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. EZEKIEL 32 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly AFRAID for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. EZEKIEL 34 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 38 20 So that the fishes of the SEA, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. EZEKIEL 39 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the SEA: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 47 8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the SEA: which being brought forth into the SEA, the waters shall be healed. 10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great SEA, exceeding many. 15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great SEA, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad; 17 And the border from the SEA shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side. 18 And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east SEA. And this is the east side. 19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great SEA. And this is the south side southward. 20 The west side also shall be the great SEA from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side. EZEKIEL 48 28 And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great SEA. DANIEL 4 5 I saw a dream which made me AFRAID, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. DANIEL 7 2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great SEA. 3 And four great beasts came up from the SEA, diverse one from another. DANIEL 8 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was AFRAID, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. HOSEA 1 10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the SEA, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. HOSEA 4 3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the SEA also shall be taken away. JOEL 2 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east SEA, and his hinder part toward the utmost SEA, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. 22 Be not AFRAID, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? AMOS 5 8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the SEA, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name: AMOS 8 12 And they shall wander from SEA to SEA, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. AMOS 9 3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the SEA, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: 6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the SEA, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name. JONAH 1 4 But the LORD sent out a great wind into the SEA, and there was a mighty tempest in the SEA, so that the ship was like to be broken. 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the SEA, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the SEA and the dry land. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the SEA may be calm unto us? for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous. 12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the SEA; so shall the SEA be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the SEA wrought, and was tempestuous against them. 15 So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the SEA: and the SEA ceased from her raging. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. MICAH 7 12 In that day also he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from SEA to SEA, and from mountain to mountain. 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the SEA. NAHUM 1 4 He rebuketh the SEA, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. --MORE-- |
