NEHEMIAH 6 5 Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time WITH an open letter in his hand; 9 For they all made us AFRAID, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. 13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be AFRAID, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. NEHEMIAH 7 7 Who came WITH Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this; 65 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest WITH Urim and Thummim. NEHEMIAH 8 2 And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear WITH understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month. 6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, WITH lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD WITH their faces to the ground. NEHEMIAH 9 1 Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled WITH fasting, and WITH sackclothes, and earth upon them. 4 Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried WITH a loud voice unto the LORD their God. 6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, WITH all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. 8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant WITH him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous: 13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest WITH them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: 24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, WITH their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do WITH them as they would. NEHEMIAH 10 32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly WITH the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; 38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be WITH the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. NEHEMIAH 11 25 And for the villages, WITH their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof, NEHEMIAH 12 1 Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up WITH Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, 24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, WITH their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward. 27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication WITH gladness, both WITH thanksgivings, and WITH singing, WITH cymbals, psalteries, and WITH harps. 35 And certain of the priests' sons WITH trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph: 36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, WITH the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them. 40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers WITH me: 41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, WITH trumpets; 42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, WITH Jezrahiah their overseer. 43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice WITH great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off. NEHEMIAH 13 2 Because they met not the children of Israel WITH bread and WITH water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing. 9 Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, WITH the meat offering and the frankincense. 11 Then contended I WITH the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. 17 Then I contended WITH the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day? 25 And I contended WITH them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. ESTHER 1 6 Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened WITH cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble. 10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry WITH wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, 11 To bring Vashti the queen before the king WITH the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on. ESTHER 2 6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem WITH the captivity which had been carried away WITH Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. 9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, WITH such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women. 12 Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months WITH oil of myrrh, and six months WITH sweet odours, and WITH other things for the purifying of the women;) 13 Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go WITH her out of the house of the women unto the king's house. 20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up WITH him. ESTHER 3 1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were WITH him. 11 And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to do WITH them as it seemeth good to thee. 12 Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed WITH the king's ring. ESTHER 4 1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth WITH ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried WITH a loud and a bitter cry; 2 And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed WITH sackcloth. 13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not WITH thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. ESTHER 5 9 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and WITH a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai. 12 Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in WITH the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also WITH the king. 14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily WITH the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made. ESTHER 6 14 And while they were yet talking WITH him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared. ESTHER 7 1 So the king and Haman came to banquet WITH Esther the queen. 6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was AFRAID before the king and the queen. --MORE-- |
