LUKE 3 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the PROPHET, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in PRISON. LUKE 4 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the PROPHET Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No PROPHET is accepted in his own country. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the PROPHET; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. LUKE 7 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great PROPHET is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. 26 But what went ye out for to see? A PROPHET? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a PROPHET. 28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater PROPHET than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a PROPHET, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. LUKE 11 29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the PROPHET. LUKE 12 58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into PRISON. LUKE 13 33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a PROPHET perish out of Jerusalem. LUKE 20 6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a PROPHET. LUKE 22 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into PRISON, and to death. LUKE 23 19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into PRISON.) 25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into PRISON, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. LUKE 24 19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a PROPHET mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: JOHN 1 21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that PROPHET? And he answered, No. 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the PROPHET Esaias. 25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that PROPHET? JOHN 3 24 For John was not yet cast into PRISON. JOHN 4 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a PROPHET. 44 For Jesus himself testified, that a PROPHET hath no honour in his own country. JOHN 6 14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that PROPHET that should come into the world. JOHN 7 40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the PROPHET. 52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no PROPHET. JOHN 9 17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a PROPHET. JOHN 12 38 That the saying of Esaias the PROPHET might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? JOHN 16 25 These things have I spoken unto you in PROVERBS: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in PROVERBS, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. ACTS 2 16 But this is that which was spoken by the PROPHET Joel; 30 Therefore being a PROPHET, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; ACTS 3 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A PROPHET shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that PROPHET, shall be destroyed from among the people. ACTS 5 18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common PRISON. 19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the PRISON doors, and brought them forth, and said, 21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the PRISON to have them brought. 22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the PRISON, they returned and told, 23 Saying, The PRISON truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. 25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in PRISON are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. ACTS 7 37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A PROPHET shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. 48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the PROPHET, ACTS 8 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to PRISON. 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the PROPHET. 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the PROPHET Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the PROPHET this? of himself, or of some other man? ACTS 12 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in PRISON, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in PRISON: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the PRISON. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the PRISON: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the PRISON. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. --MORE-- |
