1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 25 33 And blessed be thy ADVICE, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. 1 SAMUEL 27 2 And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto ACHISH, the son of Maoch, king of Gath. 3 And David dwelt with ACHISH at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife. 5 And David said unto ACHISH, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee? 6 Then ACHISH gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day. 9 And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to ACHISH. 10 And ACHISH said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites. 12 And ACHISH believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever. 1 SAMUEL 28 1 And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And ACHISH said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men. 2 And David said to ACHISH, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And ACHISH said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever. 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 29 2 And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with ACHISH. 3 Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And ACHISH said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day? 6 Then ACHISH called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not. 8 And David said unto ACHISH, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king? 9 And ACHISH answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 2 SAMUEL 14 15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me AFRAID: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 2 SAMUEL 19 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our ADVICE should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel. 2 SAMUEL 22 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me AFRAID; 46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be AFRAID out of their close places. 1 KINGS 1 49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were AFRAID, and rose up, and went every man his way. 1 KINGS 2 39 And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto ACHISH son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants be in Gath. 40 And Shimei arose, and saddled his ass, and went to Gath to ACHISH to seek his servants: and Shimei went, and brought his servants from Gath. 1 KINGS 3 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is ABLE to judge this thy so great a people? 1 KINGS 9 21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not ABLE utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day. 2 KINGS 1 15 And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not AFRAID of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king. 2 KINGS 3 21 And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, they gathered all that were ABLE to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the border. 2 KINGS 10 4 But they were exceedingly AFRAID, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand? 2 KINGS 18 23 Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be ABLE on thy part to set riders upon them. 29 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be ABLE to deliver you out of his hand: 2 KINGS 19 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not AFRAID of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 2 KINGS 25 26 And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were AFRAID of the Chaldees. 1 CHRONICLES 5 18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men ABLE to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war. 1 CHRONICLES 9 13 And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very ABLE men for the work of the service of the house of God. 1 CHRONICLES 10 4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 1 CHRONICLES 13 12 And David was AFRAID of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? 1 CHRONICLES 21 30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was AFRAID because of the sword of the angel of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 26 8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, ABLE men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom. 1 CHRONICLES 29 14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be ABLE to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. 2 CHRONICLES 2 6 But who is ABLE to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him? 2 CHRONICLES 7 7 Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not ABLE to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat. 2 CHRONICLES 10 9 And he said unto them, What ADVICE give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us? 14 And answered them after the ADVICE of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. --MORE-- |
