JOHN 19 1 Then PILATE therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. 4 PILATE therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. 5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And PILATE saith unto them, Behold the man! 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. PILATE saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. 8 When PILATE therefore heard that saying, he was the more AFRAID; 10 Then saith PILATE unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? 12 And from thenceforth PILATE sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. 13 When PILATE therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. PILATE saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. 19 And PILATE wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to PILATE, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22 PILATE answered, What I have written I have written. 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought PILATE that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought PILATE that he might take away the body of Jesus: and PILATE gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. ACTS 3 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of PILATE, when he was determined to let him go. ACTS 4 27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius PILATE, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, ACTS 9 26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all AFRAID of him, and believed not that he was a disciple. ACTS 10 4 And when he looked on him, he was AFRAID, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. ACTS 13 28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they PILATE that he should be slain. ACTS 18 9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not AFRAID, but speak, and hold not thy peace: ACTS 22 9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were AFRAID; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. 29 Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was AFRAID, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him. ROMANS 13 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be AFRAID of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be AFRAID; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. GALATIANS 4 11 I am AFRAID of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. 1 TIMOTHY 6 13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius PILATE witnessed a good confession; 2 TIMOTHY 2 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the ACKNOWLEDGING of the truth; TITUS 1 1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the ACKNOWLEDGING of the truth which is after godliness; PHILEMON 1 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the ACKNOWLEDGING of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. HEBREWS 11 23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not AFRAID of the king's commandment. 1 PETER 3 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not AFRAID with any amazement. 14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not AFRAID of their terror, neither be troubled; 2 PETER 2 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not AFRAID to speak evil of dignities. --END-- |
