1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 15 Now Eli was ninety and eight years OLD; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see. 18 And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an OLD man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 8 1 And it came to pass, when Samuel was OLD, that he made his sons judges over Israel. 5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art OLD, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. 1 SAMUEL 12 2 And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am OLD and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an OLD man in the days of Saul. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 27 8 And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of OLD the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An OLD man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 2 10 Ishbosheth Saul's son was forty years OLD when he began to reign over Israel, and reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David. 2 SAMUEL 4 4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. And his name was Mephibosheth. 2 SAMUEL 5 4 David was thirty years OLD when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 2 SAMUEL 14 15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me AFRAID: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 2 SAMUEL 19 32 Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years OLD: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man. 35 I am this day fourscore years OLD: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king? 2 SAMUEL 20 18 Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in OLD time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter. 2 SAMUEL 22 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me AFRAID; 46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be AFRAID out of their close places. 1 KINGS 1 1 Now king David was OLD and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat. 15 And Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very OLD; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king. 49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were AFRAID, and rose up, and went every man his way. 1 KINGS 11 4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was OLD, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 1 KINGS 12 6 And king Rehoboam consulted with the OLD men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people? 8 But he forsook the counsel of the OLD men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him: 13 And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the OLD men's counsel that they gave him; 1 KINGS 13 11 Now there dwelt an OLD prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. 25 And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the OLD prophet dwelt. 29 And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the OLD prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him. 1 KINGS 14 21 And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah.
