JEREMIAH 9 1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I MIGHT weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! 2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I MIGHT leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. 23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his MIGHT, let not the rich man glory in his riches: JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. 6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in MIGHT. JEREMIAH 13 11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they MIGHT be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear. JEREMIAH 16 21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my MIGHT; and they shall know that my name is The LORD. JEREMIAH 17 23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they MIGHT not hear, nor receive instruction. JEREMIAH 19 15 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they MIGHT not hear my words. JEREMIAH 20 17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother MIGHT have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me. JEREMIAH 25 7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye MIGHT provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. JEREMIAH 26 19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus MIGHT we procure great evil against our souls. 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; JEREMIAH 27 15 For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I MIGHT drive you out, and that ye MIGHT perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. JEREMIAH 41 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 43 3 But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they MIGHT put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon. JEREMIAH 44 8 In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye MIGHT cut yourselves off, and that ye MIGHT be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? JEREMIAH 46 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 49 35 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their MIGHT. JEREMIAH 51 30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their MIGHT hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 10 21 Every one had four faces APIECE, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. EZEKIEL 17 7 There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he MIGHT water it by the furrows of her plantation. 8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it MIGHT bring forth branches, and that it MIGHT bear fruit, that it MIGHT be a goodly vine. 14 That the kingdom MIGHT be base, that it MIGHT not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it MIGHT stand. 15 But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they MIGHT give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered? EZEKIEL 20 12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they MIGHT know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. 26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I MIGHT make them desolate, to the end that they MIGHT know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 24 8 That it MIGHT cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered. EZEKIEL 27 35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore AFRAID, they shall be troubled in their countenance. EZEKIEL 30 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians AFRAID, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. EZEKIEL 32 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly AFRAID for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. 29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their MIGHT are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit. 30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their MIGHT; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit. EZEKIEL 34 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 36 3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye MIGHT be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: EZEKIEL 39 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 40 4 And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I MIGHT shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel. EZEKIEL 41 6 And the side chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of the house for the side chambers round about, that they MIGHT have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house. 24 And the doors had two leaves APIECE, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door. DANIEL 1 4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they MIGHT teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. 5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they MIGHT stand before the king. 8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he MIGHT not defile himself. --MORE-- |
