JOSHUA 9 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard THEREOF; 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 10 2 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men THEREOF were mighty. 28 And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king THEREOF he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho. 30 And the LORD delivered it also, and the king THEREOF, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king THEREOF as he did unto the king of Jericho. 37 And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king THEREOF, and all the cities THEREOF, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein. 39 And he took it, and the king THEREOF, and all the cities THEREOF; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king THEREOF; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. 10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king THEREOF with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. JOSHUA 13 23 And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border THEREOF. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages THEREOF. JOSHUA 15 7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out THEREOF were at Enrogel: 12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast THEREOF. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families. 47 Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border THEREOF: JOSHUA 16 3 And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer; and the goings out THEREOF are at the sea. 8 The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out THEREOF were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families. JOSHUA 18 12 And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out THEREOF were at the wilderness of Bethaven. 14 And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Bethhoron southward; and the goings out THEREOF were at Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter. 20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts THEREOF round about, according to their families. JOSHUA 19 14 And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings THEREOF are in the valley of Jiphthahel: 29 And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings THEREOF are at the sea from the coast to Achzib: 33 And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings THEREOF were at Jordan: JOSHUA 21 2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs THEREOF for our cattle. 11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs THEREOF round about it. 12 But the fields of the city, and the villages THEREOF, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession. JOSHUA 22 7 Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half THEREOF gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them, JOSHUA 23 14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed THEREOF. JUDGES 1 18 Also Judah took Gaza with the coast THEREOF, and Askelon with the coast THEREOF, and Ekron with the coast THEREOF. 26 And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called the name THEREOF Luz: which is the name THEREOF unto this day. JUDGES 3 2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing THEREOF; JUDGES 5 23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants THEREOF; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. 15 And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation THEREOF, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian. JUDGES 8 14 And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders THEREOF, even threescore and seventeen men. 27 And Gideon made an ephod THEREOF, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house. JUDGES 14 9 And he took THEREOF in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion. JUDGES 15 19 But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name THEREOF Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day. JUDGES 17 4 Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made THEREOF a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 1 SAMUEL 5 6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts THEREOF. 1 SAMUEL 6 8 And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side THEREOF; and send it away, that it may go. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 14 And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts THEREOF did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath THEREOF, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 20 20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side THEREOF, as though I shot at a mark. --MORE-- |
