JEREMIAH 6 24 We have heard the fame THEREOF: our hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. JEREMIAH 11 19 But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit THEREOF, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. JEREMIAH 14 2 Judah mourneth, and the gates THEREOF languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up. 8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour THEREOF in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? JEREMIAH 17 27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates THEREOF, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched. JEREMIAH 19 8 And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues THEREOF. 12 Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants THEREOF, and even make this city as Tophet: JEREMIAH 20 5 Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours THEREOF, and all the precious things THEREOF, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest THEREOF, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 23 14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants THEREOF as Gomorrah. JEREMIAH 25 9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants THEREOF, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. 18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings THEREOF, and the princes THEREOF, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day; --MORE-- |
