ACTS 10 1 There was A certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, A centurion of the band called the Italian band, 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. 3 He saw in A vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. 4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for A memorial before God. 6 He lodgeth with one Simon A tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. 7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and A devout soldier of them that waited on him continually; 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into A trance, 11 And saw heaven opened, and A certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been A great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: 13 And there came A voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. 22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, A just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. 26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am A man. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for A man that is A Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, A man stood before me in bright clothing, 32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon A tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of A truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on A tree: ACTS 11 5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in A trance I saw A vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been A great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me: 7 And I heard A voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. 21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and A great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. 24 For he was A good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. 26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that A whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. ACTS 12 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and A light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw A vision. 11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of A surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. 13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, A damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. 19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there ABODE. 21 And upon A set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22 And the people gave A shout, saying, It is the voice of A god, and not of A man. ACTS 13 6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found A certain sorcerer, A false prophet, A Jew, whose name was Barjesus: 7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, A prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. 11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for A season. And immediately there fell on him A mist and A darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 21 And afterward they desired A king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, A man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, A man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. 23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel A Saviour, Jesus: 29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in A sepulchre. 41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work A work in your days, A work which ye shall in no wise believe, though A man declare it unto you. 47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be A light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. ACTS 14 1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that A great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. 3 Long time therefore ABODE they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. 8 And there sat A certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being A cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 10 Said with A loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. 28 And there they ABODE long time with the disciples. ACTS 15 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that A good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put A yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them A people for his name. 33 And after they had tarried there A space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles. ACTS 16 1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, A certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of A certain woman, which was A Jewess, and believed; but his father was A Greek: 3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was A Greek. 9 And A vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood A man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with A straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and A colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by A river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. 14 And A certain woman named Lydia, A seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. 16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, A certain damsel possessed with A spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 24 Who, having received such A charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 26 And suddenly there was A great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 28 But Paul cried with A loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for A light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, --MORE-- |
