HOSEA 11 5 He shall not return into the LAND of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return. 11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the LAND of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD. HOSEA 12 9 And I that am the LORD thy God from the LAND of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. HOSEA 13 4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the LAND of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. 5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the LAND of great drought. JOEL 1 2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the LAND. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? 6 For a nation is come up upon my LAND, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion. 10 The field is wasted, the LAND mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth. 14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the LAND into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD, JOEL 2 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the LAND tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the LAND is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. 18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his LAND, and pity his people. 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a LAND barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. 21 Fear not, O LAND; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. 22 Be not AFRAID, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. JOEL 3 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my LAND. 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their LAND. AMOS 2 10 Also I brought you up from the LAND of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the LAND of the Amorite. AMOS 3 1 Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the LAND of Egypt, saying, 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the LAND of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof. 11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the LAND; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled. AMOS 7 2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the LAND, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the LAND is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own LAND. 12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the LAND of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy LAND shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted LAND: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his LAND. AMOS 8 4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the LAND to fail, 8 Shall not the LAND tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the LAND, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: AMOS 9 5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the LAND, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the LAND of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 15 And I will plant them upon their LAND, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their LAND which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God. JONAH 1 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry LAND. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the LAND; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them. JONAH 2 10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry LAND. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. MICAH 5 5 And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our LAND: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. 6 And they shall waste the LAND of Assyria with the sword, and the LAND of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our LAND, and when he treadeth within our borders. 11 And I will cut off the cities of thy LAND, and throw down all thy strong holds: MICAH 6 4 For I brought thee up out of the LAND of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. MICAH 7 13 Notwithstanding the LAND shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings. 15 According to the days of thy coming out of the LAND of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things. 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 2 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? NAHUM 3 13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy LAND shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars. HABAKKUK 2 8 Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the LAND, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the LAND, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. --MORE-- |
