JEREMIAH 49 2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a DESOLATE heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD. 20 Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations DESOLATE with them. JEREMIAH 50 3 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land DESOLATE, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast. 13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly DESOLATE: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. 45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation DESOLATE with them. JEREMIAH 51 26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be DESOLATE for ever, saith the LORD. 62 Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be DESOLATE for ever. LAMENTATIONS 1 4 The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are DESOLATE: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness. 13 From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me DESOLATE and faint all the day. 16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are DESOLATE, because the enemy prevailed. LAMENTATIONS 3 11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me DESOLATE. LAMENTATIONS 4 5 They that did feed delicately are DESOLATE in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. LAMENTATIONS 5 18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is DESOLATE, the foxes walk upon it. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 6 4 And your altars shall be DESOLATE, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. 6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be DESOLATE; that your altars may be laid waste and made DESOLATE, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. 14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land DESOLATE, yea, more DESOLATE than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 12 19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be DESOLATE from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. 20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be DESOLATE; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 14 15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be DESOLATE, that no man may pass through because of the beasts: 16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be DESOLATE. EZEKIEL 15 8 And I will make the land DESOLATE, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 19 7 And he knew their DESOLATE palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was DESOLATE, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring. EZEKIEL 20 26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them DESOLATE, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 25 3 And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was DESOLATE; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it DESOLATE from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. EZEKIEL 26 19 For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a DESOLATE city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee; 20 When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places DESOLATE of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living; EZEKIEL 27 35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore AFRAID, they shall be troubled in their countenance. EZEKIEL 29 9 And the land of Egypt shall be DESOLATE and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it. 10 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and DESOLATE, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia. 12 And I will make the land of Egypt DESOLATE in the midst of the countries that are DESOLATE, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be DESOLATE forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. EZEKIEL 30 7 And they shall be DESOLATE in the midst of the countries that are DESOLATE, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted. 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians AFRAID, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. 14 And I will make Pathros DESOLATE, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No. EZEKIEL 32 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly AFRAID for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. 15 When I shall make the land of Egypt DESOLATE, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 33 28 For I will lay the land most DESOLATE, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be DESOLATE, that none shall pass through. 29 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most DESOLATE because of all their abominations which they have committed. EZEKIEL 34 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 35 3 And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most DESOLATE. 4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be DESOLATE, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. 7 Thus will I make mount Seir most DESOLATE, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 12 And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid DESOLATE, they are given us to consume. 14 Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee DESOLATE. 15 As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was DESOLATE, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be DESOLATE, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 36 3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you DESOLATE, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: 4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the DESOLATE wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; 34 And the DESOLATE land shall be tilled, whereas it lay DESOLATE in the sight of all that passed by. 35 And they shall say, This land that was DESOLATE is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and DESOLATE and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. 36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was DESOLATE: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. --MORE-- |
