ACTS 5 18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common PRISON. 19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the PRISON doors, and brought them forth, and said, 21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the PRISON to have them brought. 22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the PRISON, they returned and told, 23 Saying, The PRISON truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. 25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in PRISON are standing in the temple, and teaching the people. ACTS 7 17 But when the time of the PROMISE drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt, ACTS 8 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to PRISON. ACTS 12 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in PRISON, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in PRISON: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the PRISON. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the PRISON: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the PRISON. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. ACTS 13 23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his PROMISE raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the PROMISE which was made unto the fathers, 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second PSALM, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 35 Wherefore he saith also in another PSALM, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. ACTS 16 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into PRISON, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner PRISON, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the PRISON were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the PRISON awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the PRISON doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 36 And the keeper of the PRISON told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace. 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into PRISON; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 40 And they went out of the PRISON, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed. ACTS 23 21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a PROMISE from thee. ACTS 26 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the PROMISE made of God, unto our fathers: 7 Unto which PROMISE our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. 10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in PRISON, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. ROMANS 4 13 For the PROMISE, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the PROMISE made of none effect: 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the PROMISE might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 20 He staggered not at the PROMISE of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; ROMANS 9 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the PROMISE are counted for the seed. 9 For this is the word of PROMISE, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. 1 CORINTHIANS 14 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a PSALM, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. GALATIANS 3 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the PROMISE of the Spirit through faith. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the PROMISE of none effect. 18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of PROMISE: but God gave it to Abraham by PROMISE. 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the PROMISE was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the PROMISE by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the PROMISE. GALATIANS 4 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by PROMISE. 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of PROMISE. EPHESIANS 1 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of PROMISE, EPHESIANS 2 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of PROMISE, having no hope, and without God in the world: EPHESIANS 3 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his PROMISE in Christ by the gospel: EPHESIANS 6 2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with PROMISE; 1 TIMOTHY 4 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having PROMISE of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 2 TIMOTHY 1 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the PROMISE of life which is in Christ Jesus, HEBREWS 4 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a PROMISE being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. --MORE-- |
