ISAIAH 33 14 The sinners in Zion are AFRAID; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? ISAIAH 37 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not AFRAID of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 9 And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, SAYING, 10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, SAYING, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, SAYING, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. 15 And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD, SAYING, 21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, SAYING, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria: ISAIAH 40 9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not AFRAID; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ISAIAH 41 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were AFRAID, drew near, and came. 7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, SAYING, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved. 13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, SAYING unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be AFRAID: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. 28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even SAYING to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. ISAIAH 51 7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye AFRAID of their revilings. 12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be AFRAID of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; ISAIAH 57 11 And of whom hast thou been AFRAID or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. JEREMIAH 1 4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, SAYING, 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, SAYING, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. 13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, SAYING, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. JEREMIAH 2 1 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, SAYING, 2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, SAYING, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 27 SAYING to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. JEREMIAH 26 1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, SAYING, 8 Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, SAYING, Thou shalt surely die. 9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, SAYING, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD. 11 Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, SAYING, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears. 12 Then spake Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, SAYING, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard. 17 Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spake to all the assembly of the people, SAYING, 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, SAYING, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest. 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; JEREMIAH 30 1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, SAYING, 2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, SAYING, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, SAYING, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. JEREMIAH 36 1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, SAYING, 5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, SAYING, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD: 14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, SAYING, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them. 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 17 And they asked Baruch, SAYING, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth? 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. 27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, SAYING, 29 And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, SAYING, Why hast thou written therein, SAYING, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? JEREMIAH 38 1 Then Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, SAYING, 8 Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spake to the king SAYING, 10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, SAYING, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die. 16 So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, SAYING, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life. 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. --MORE-- |
