1 SAMUEL 26 19 Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him ACCEPT an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods. 1 SAMUEL 27 2 And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto ACHISH, the son of Maoch, king of Gath. 3 And David dwelt with ACHISH at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife. 5 And David said unto ACHISH, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee? 6 Then ACHISH gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day. 9 And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to ACHISH. 10 And ACHISH said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites. 12 And ACHISH believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever. 1 SAMUEL 28 1 And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And ACHISH said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men. 2 And David said to ACHISH, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And ACHISH said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever. 1 SAMUEL 29 2 And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with ACHISH. 3 Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And ACHISH said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day? 6 Then ACHISH called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not. 8 And David said unto ACHISH, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king? 9 And ACHISH answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle. 2 SAMUEL 24 23 All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God ACCEPT thee. 1 KINGS 2 39 And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto ACHISH son of Maachah king of Gath. The sons of AARON; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under AARON their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him. 31 These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of AARON in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren. 2 CHRONICLES 13 9 Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of AARON, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods. 10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of AARON, and the Levites wait upon their business: 2 CHRONICLES 26 18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of AARON, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God. 2 CHRONICLES 29 21 And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of AARON to offer them on the altar of the LORD. 2 CHRONICLES 31 19 Also of the sons of AARON the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites. 2 CHRONICLES 35 14 And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of AARON were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of AARON.
