DEUTERONOMY 18 1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by FIRE, and his inheritance. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the FIRE, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great FIRE any more, that I die not. DEUTERONOMY 32 22 For a FIRE is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on FIRE the foundations of the mountains. JOSHUA 6 24 And they burnt the city with FIRE, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. JOSHUA 7 4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they FLED before the men of Ai. 15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with FIRE, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. 25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with FIRE, after they had stoned them with stones. JOSHUA 8 8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on FIRE: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you. 15 And Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and FLED by the way of the wilderness. 19 And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on FIRE. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that FLED to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 10 11 And it came to pass, as they FLED from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. 16 But these five kings FLED, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with FIRE. 9 And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with FIRE. 11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with FIRE. JOSHUA 13 14 Only unto the tribes of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by FIRE are their inheritance, as he said unto them. JOSHUA 20 6 And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he FLED. JUDGES 6 21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up FIRE out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. JUDGES 7 21 And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and FLED. 22 And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host FLED to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath. JUDGES 8 12 And when Zebah and Zalmunna FLED, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host. JUDGES 9 15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let FIRE come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon. 20 But if not, let FIRE come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let FIRE come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. 21 And Jotham ran away, and FLED, and went to Beer, and dwelt there, for fear of Abimelech his brother. 40 And Abimelech chased him, and he FLED before him, and many were overthrown and wounded, even unto the entering of the gate. 49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on FIRE upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women. 51 But there was a strong tower within the city, and thither FLED all the men and women, and all they of the city, and shut it to them, and gat them up to the top of the tower. 52 And Abimelech came unto the tower, and fought against it, and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with FIRE. JUDGES 11 3 Then Jephthah FLED from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him. JUDGES 12 1 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with FIRE. JUDGES 14 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with FIRE: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so? JUDGES 15 5 And when he had set the brands on FIRE, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives. 6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with FIRE. 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with FIRE, and his bands loosed from off his hands. JUDGES 16 9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the FIRE. So his strength was not known. JUDGES 18 27 And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with FIRE. JUDGES 20 45 And they turned and FLED toward the wilderness unto the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways five thousand men; and pursued hard after them unto Gidom, and slew two thousand men of them. 47 But six hundred men turned and FLED to the wilderness unto the rock Rimmon, and abode in the rock Rimmon four months. 48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, as well the men of every city, as the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on FIRE all the cities that they came to. 1 SAMUEL 2 28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by FIRE of the children of Israel? 1 SAMUEL 4 10 And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they FLED every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen. 16 And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I FLED to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son? 17 And the messenger answered and said, Israel is FLED before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken. 1 SAMUEL 14 22 Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines FLED, even they also followed hard after them in the battle. --MORE-- |
