2 CHRONICLES 31 2 And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his SERVICE, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD. 16 Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even unto every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their SERVICE in their charges according to their courses; 21 And in every work that he began in the SERVICE of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered. 2 CHRONICLES 32 13 Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of other lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways ABLE to deliver their lands out of mine hand? 14 Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be ABLE to deliver you out of mine hand? 15 Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was ABLE to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand? 2 CHRONICLES 34 13 Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and were overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of SERVICE: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters. 2 CHRONICLES 35 2 And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the SERVICE of the house of the LORD, 10 So the SERVICE was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment. 15 And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their SERVICE; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them. 16 So all the SERVICE of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah. EZEKIEL 23 4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and AHOLIBAH her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem AHOLIBAH. 11 And when her sister AHOLIBAH saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms. 22 Therefore, O AHOLIBAH, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side; 36 The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and AHOLIBAH? yea, declare unto them their abominations; 44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto AHOLIBAH, the lewd women. --MORE-- |
