And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until AN ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver. 2 KINGS 9 2 And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to AN inner chamber; 5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have AN errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain. 17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take AN horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace? 2 KINGS 10 25 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made AN end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal. 2 KINGS 11 4 And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took AN oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king's son. 2 KINGS 16 10 And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and saw AN altar that was at Damascus: and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof. 11 And Urijah the priest built AN altar according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priest made it against king Ahaz came from Damascus. 2 KINGS 18 31 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make AN agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern: 2 KINGS 19 25 Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ANCIENT times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps. 32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot AN arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it. 35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians AN hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. 2 KINGS 23 33 And Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of AN hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold. 2 KINGS 25 19 And out of the city he took AN officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city: 1 CHRONICLES 2 34 Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, AN Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. 1 CHRONICLES 4 22 And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ANCIENT things. 1 CHRONICLES 5 21 And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men AN hundred thousand. 1 CHRONICLES 6 49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make AN atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 1 CHRONICLES 8 40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, AN hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin. 1 CHRONICLES 11 11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, AN Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time. 23 And he slew AN Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear. 1 CHRONICLES 12 14 These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over AN hundred, and the greatest over a thousand. 37 And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, AN hundred and twenty thousand. 1 CHRONICLES 14 1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him AN house. 1 CHRONICLES 15 5 Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren AN hundred and twenty: 7 Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief and his brethren AN hundred and thirty: 10 Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren AN hundred and twelve. 27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him AN ephod of linen. 1 CHRONICLES 16 2 And when David had made AN end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. 17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for AN everlasting covenant, 29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring AN offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 1 CHRONICLES 17 1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in AN house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains. 4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me AN house to dwell in: 5 For I have not dwelt in AN house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. 6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me AN house of cedars? 10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee AN house. 12 He shall build me AN house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. 25 For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him AN house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee. 1 CHRONICLES 18 4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them AN hundred chariots. 1 CHRONICLES 21 3 And Joab answered, The LORD make his people AN hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel? 5 And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and AN hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword. 15 And God sent AN angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 18 Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up AN altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 22 Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build AN altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people. 26 And David built there AN altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. 1 CHRONICLES 22 6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build AN house for the LORD God of Israel. 7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build AN house unto the name of the LORD my God: 8 But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build AN house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 10 He shall build AN house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. 14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD AN hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. --MORE-- |
