DEUTERONOMY 31 5 And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded YOU. 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 19 Now therefore write ye this song for YOU, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. 27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with YOU this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death? 29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded YOU; and evil will befall YOU in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands. DEUTERONOMY 32 38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help YOU, and be your protection. 46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among YOU this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a vain thing for YOU; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. JOSHUA 1 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto YOU, as I said unto Moses. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare YOU victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth YOU to possess it. 13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded YOU, saying, The LORD your God hath given YOU rest, and hath given YOU this land. 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave YOU on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given YOU, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave YOU on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. JOSHUA 2 9 And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given YOU the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of YOU. 10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for YOU, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. 11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of YOU: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. 12 Now therefore, I pray YOU, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed YOU kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token: 16 And she said unto them, Get YOU to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet YOU; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way. JOSHUA 3 4 Yet there shall be a space between YOU and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. 5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among YOU. 10 And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among YOU, and that he will without fail drive out from before YOU the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. 11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before YOU into Jordan. 12 Now therefore take YOU twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man. JOSHUA 4 2 Take YOU twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, 3 And command ye them, saying, Take YOU hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with YOU, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night. 5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take YOU up every man of YOU a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: 6 That this may be a sign among YOU, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? 23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before YOU, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: JOSHUA 5 9 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off YOU. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day. JOSHUA 6 10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid YOU shout; then shall ye shout. 16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given YOU the city. JOSHUA 7 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with YOU any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among YOU. 13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among YOU. JOSHUA 8 8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded YOU. JOSHUA 9 7 And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with YOU? 11 Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with YOU for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us. 12 This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto YOU; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy: 22 And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from YOU; when ye dwell among us? 23 Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of YOU be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God. 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give YOU all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before YOU, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of YOU, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 18 3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given YOU? 4 Give out from among YOU three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me. 6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for YOU here before the LORD our God. 7 But the Levites have no part among YOU; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. 8 And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for YOU before the LORD in Shiloh. JOSHUA 20 2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for YOU cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto YOU by the hand of Moses: JOSHUA 22 2 And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded YOU, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded YOU: 4 And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get YOU unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave YOU on the other side Jordan. 5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged YOU, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. 16 Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded YOU an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD? 19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us, in building YOU an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God. 25 For the LORD hath made Jordan a border between us and YOU, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no part in the LORD: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD. 27 But that it may be a witness between us, and YOU, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD. 28 Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and YOU. --MORE-- |
