1 SAMUEL 11 2 And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with YOU, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel. 10 Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto YOU, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto YOU. 1 SAMUEL 12 1 And Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a king over YOU. 2 And now, behold, the king walketh before YOU: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with YOU: and I have walked before YOU from my childhood unto this day. 3 Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it YOU. 5 And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against YOU, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness. 7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with YOU before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to YOU and to your fathers. 11 And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered YOU out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and ye dwelled safe. 12 And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against YOU, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king. 13 Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over YOU. 14 If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over YOU continue following the LORD your God: 15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against YOU, as it was against your fathers. 17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking YOU a king. 22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make YOU his people. 23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for YOU: but I will teach YOU the good and the right way: 24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for YOU. 1 SAMUEL 14 9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to YOU; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. 12 And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew YOU a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of Israel. 29 Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray YOU, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey. 1 SAMUEL 15 6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get YOU down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy YOU with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. And David said, Seemeth it to YOU a light thing to be a king's son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed? 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 22 3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with YOU, till I know what God will do for me. 7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of YOU fields and vineyards, and make YOU all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; 8 That all of YOU have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of YOU that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 22 Go, I pray YOU, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly. 23 See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with YOU: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah. 1 SAMUEL 25 5 And David sent out ten young men, and David said unto the young men, Get YOU up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name: 19 And she said unto her servants, Go on before me; behold, I come after YOU. But she told not her husband Nabal. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 30 24 For who will hearken unto YOU in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike. 26 And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for YOU of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD; 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 21 Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon YOU, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil. 24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed YOU in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel. 2 SAMUEL 2 6 And now the LORD shew kindness and truth unto YOU: and I also will requite YOU this kindness, because ye have done this thing. 2 SAMUEL 3 17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over YOU: 31 And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird YOU with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner.
