EXODUS 19 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be A peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me A kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. 9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in A thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. 16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and A thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. 18 And mount Sinai was altogether on A smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of A furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by A voice. 24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and AARON with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them. EXODUS 20 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am A jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; EXODUS 21 4 If his master have given him A wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself. 7 And if A man sell his daughter to be A maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. 8 If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto A strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. 12 He that smiteth A man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. 13 And if A man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee A place whither he shall flee. 14 But if A man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die. 16 And he that stealeth A man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. 18 And if men strive together, and one smite another with A stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed: 20 And if A man smite his servant, or his maid, with A rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. 21 Notwithstanding, if he continue A day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money. 22 If men strive, and hurt A woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 26 And if A man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake. 28 If an ox gore A man or A woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29 But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed A man or A woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death. 30 If there be laid on him A sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him. 31 Whether he have gored A son, or have gored A daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him. 32 If the ox shall push A manservant or A maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. 33 And if A man shall open A pit, or if A man shall dig A pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein; EXODUS 22 1 If A man shall steal an ox, or A sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for A sheep. 2 If A thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. 5 If A man shall cause A field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution. 7 If A man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. 10 If A man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or A sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it: 14 And if A man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good. 16 And if A man entice A maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. 18 Thou shalt not suffer A witch to live. 19 Whosoever lieth with A beast shall surely be put to death. 21 Thou shalt neither vex A stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. EXODUS 23 1 Thou shalt not raise A false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. 2 Thou shalt not follow A multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in A cause to decline after many to wrest judgment: 3 Neither shalt thou countenance A poor man in his cause. 7 Keep thee far from A false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked. 9 Also thou shalt not oppress A stranger: for ye know the heart of A stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. 14 Three times thou shalt keep A feast unto me in the year. 19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe A kid in his mother's milk. 33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be A snare unto thee. EXODUS 24 1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and AARON, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. 9 Then went up Moses, and AARON, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were A paved work of A sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and A law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. 14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, AARON and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them. 15 And Moses went up into the mount, and A cloud covered the mount. --MORE-- |
