GENESIS 14 12 And they took Lot, ABRAM's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. 13 And there came one that had escaped, and told ABRAM the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with ABRAM. 14 And when ABRAM heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be ABRAM of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 21 And the king of Sodom said unto ABRAM, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. 22 And ABRAM said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, 23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made ABRAM rich: GENESIS 15 1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto ABRAM in a vision, saying, Fear not, ABRAM: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2 And ABRAM said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And ABRAM said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 11 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, ABRAM drove them away. 12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon ABRAM; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. 13 And he said unto ABRAM, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not their's, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with ABRAM, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: GENESIS 16 1 Now Sarai ABRAM's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. 2 And Sarai said unto ABRAM, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And ABRAM hearkened to the voice of Sarai. 3 And Sarai ABRAM's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after ABRAM had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband ABRAM to be his wife. 5 And Sarai said unto ABRAM, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORD judge between me and thee. 6 But ABRAM said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face. 15 And Hagar bare ABRAM a son: and ABRAM called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael. 16 And ABRAM was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to ABRAM. GENESIS 17 1 And when ABRAM was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to ABRAM, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 3 And ABRAM fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called ABRAM, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. DEUTERONOMY 21 17 But he shall ACKNOWLEDGE the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. DEUTERONOMY 33 9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he ACKNOWLEDGE his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. JUDGES 19 30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take ADVICE, and speak your minds. JUDGES 20 7 Behold, ye are all children of Israel; give here your ADVICE and counsel. 1 SAMUEL 25 33 And blessed be thy ADVICE, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. 2 SAMUEL 19 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our ADVICE should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel. 1 CHRONICLES 1 27 ABRAM; the same is Abraham. 2 CHRONICLES 10 9 And he said unto them, What ADVICE give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us? 14 And answered them after the ADVICE of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 2 CHRONICLES 25 17 Then Amaziah king of Judah took ADVICE, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face. NEHEMIAH 9 7 Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose ABRAM, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham; PSALM 32 5 I ACKNOWLEDGE my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. PSALM 51 3 For I ACKNOWLEDGE my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. PROVERBS 3 6 In all thy ways ACKNOWLEDGE him, and he shall direct thy paths. PROVERBS 20 18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good ADVICE make war. ISAIAH 33 13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, ACKNOWLEDGE my might. ISAIAH 61 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall ACKNOWLEDGE them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed. 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. ISAIAH 63 16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel ACKNOWLEDGE us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. JEREMIAH 3 13 Only ACKNOWLEDGE thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 14 20 We ACKNOWLEDGE, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee. JEREMIAH 24 5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I ACKNOWLEDGE them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good. EZEKIEL 23 4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and AHOLIBAH her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem AHOLIBAH. 11 And when her sister AHOLIBAH saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms. 22 Therefore, O AHOLIBAH, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side; 36 The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and AHOLIBAH? yea, declare unto them their abominations; 44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto AHOLIBAH, the lewd women. --MORE-- |
