DEUTERONOMY 9 19 For I was AFRAID of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. DEUTERONOMY 11 14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou MAYEST gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. 15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou MAYEST eat and be full. DEUTERONOMY 12 15 Notwithstanding thou MAYEST kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart. 17 Thou MAYEST not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand: 20 When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou MAYEST eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. 23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou MAYEST not eat the life with the flesh. DEUTERONOMY 14 21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou MAYEST sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. 23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou MAYEST learn to fear the LORD thy God always. DEUTERONOMY 15 3 Of a foreigner thou MAYEST exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release; DEUTERONOMY 16 3 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou MAYEST remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. 5 Thou MAYEST not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee: 20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou MAYEST live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. DEUTERONOMY 17 15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou MAYEST not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. DEUTERONOMY 18 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be AFRAID of him. DEUTERONOMY 20 1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 19 When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou MAYEST eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege: DEUTERONOMY 22 3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou MAYEST not hide thyself. 7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou MAYEST prolong thy days. DEUTERONOMY 23 20 Unto a stranger thou MAYEST lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 24 When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou MAYEST eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel. 25 When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou MAYEST pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn. DEUTERONOMY 26 19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou MAYEST be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken. DEUTERONOMY 27 3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou MAYEST go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee. DEUTERONOMY 28 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou MAYEST fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 30 6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou MAYEST live. 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou MAYEST do it. 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou MAYEST live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 20 That thou MAYEST love the LORD thy God, and that thou MAYEST obey his voice, and that thou MAYEST cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou MAYEST dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. JOSHUA 1 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou MAYEST observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou MAYEST prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou MAYEST observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 9 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. JUDGES 9 33 And it shall be, that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set upon the city: and, behold, when he and the people that is with him come out against thee, then MAYEST thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion. JUDGES 11 8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou MAYEST go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead. JUDGES 19 9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou MAYEST go home. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 20 13 The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou MAYEST go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father. --MORE-- |
